Grilled California Avocado Chicken

In honor of the workers in America they celebrate Labor Day on the first Monday in September. One sees Labor Day or Labor Weekend as the end of the summer season. During this long weekend and annual holiday comes good food, also known as end-of-summer food. Grilled California avocado chicken is a popular recipe to make during this weekend, but of course it’s always delicious.

What do you need (4 people).

Grilled California Avocado Chicken

  • 150ml balsamic vinegar
  • 50ml extra virgin oil
  • tablespoon honey
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2 tablespoons italian herbs (dried)
  • 2 tablespoons basil (dried)
  • 4 chicken fillets
  • avocado
  • big tomatoes
  • mozzarella (maxi)
  • pepper and salt


  • Turn on the grill oven, if you don’t have a grill oven, you can also cook the chicken in a grill pan or ordinary frying pan.
  • Mix the vinegar, oil, honey and Italian herbs.
  • Squeeze the garlic cloves and add with some pepper and salt.
  • Place the 4 chicken fillets in the marinade for 20 minutes.
  • Grill the chicken fillets in the oven or pan for about 10 minutes.
  • Cut the mozzarella, avocado and tomatoes into slices and then put them over the chicken.
  • Grill or cook for a while until the mozzarella is melted.
  • Finish with some dried basil as topping.
