Vega(n) restaurant Rozey opens location in Amersfoort

Last week I was invited to have dinner at the successful vega(n) restaurant Rozey. At this restaurant it is sustainable & responsible enjoyment in a successful all-in dining concept. Vega(n) restaurant Rozey opens its third location in Amersfoort. After two wonderful establishments in Rotterdam and Delft, Amersfoort residents now also have the opportunity to enjoy 56 different luxury veggie and vegan dishes at restaurant Rozey. And that for a fixed, low price; during the week for €34.50 pp and at the weekend for €39.50 pp including drinks. Rozey Amersfoort is located in an industrial corner building with large windows, which allows for a lot of light and a beautiful view of the river Eem. In the summer it is good to relax on the terrace on the quay, where you can enjoy the sun and the boats sailing by. The restaurant has room for approximately 80 guests.

Enjoy all-in vegetarian(s)

The stylish dining concept comes from the well-known food stylist Roos Rutjes. For the newly opened shop in Amersfoort, they have entered into a partnership with the passionate catering entrepreneurs Hans and Lisanne Bommer, who are also brother and sister. The menu is the same as at the other locations. At Rozey 75 percent of the menu is vegan and 25 percent vegetarian. All 56 dishes of the all-inclusive menu are created with honest products, with meat substitutes, delicious sauces and fresh vegetables predominating. A preview of what’s on the menu: from the vegan bitterbal, the vegan scallops with beurre-blanc sauce and carpaccio from celeriac to satay and burgers. And the desserts such as hot chocolate lava and coconut panna cotta are to die for!

Responsible products from sustainable suppliers

The founders of Rozey are based on the principle that ingredients and products as well as suppliers have the least possible impact on people, animals and the planet. Roos asked suppliers for the most responsible products from their range. As a result, they now work with organic coffee beans from Smit & Dorlas, fruit and vegetables from the traditional Dutch company Van Gelder, tea from Pukka, oat milk from Oatly, BOS ice tea, organic beer from Brouwerij De Leckere and the beautiful plants from Ogreen. The wine list includes the natural wines of Terra Vites. A mini-Rozeyshop has opened in the restaurant, where you can find delicious vegan cosmetics from We love the planet, such as sunscreen, deodorant and lip balm. You will also find beautiful, sustainable Rozey water carafes.
