Now that it’s autumn, it’s time to boost your immune system before a miserable virus comes around. Chicken soup has always been a popular recipe once you feel less fit, it’s easy food and it makes you warm. I’ve added a few more power ingredients to keep your annual flu epidemic a step ahead. Ginger works anti-inflammatory, garlic and onion have antibacterial properties, turmeric is a strong antioxidant and also works anti-inflammatory and is antibacterial, thyme is a very healthy herb known as a flu fighter and the last one is apple cider vinegar that’s good for your intestinal flora and helps your liver and kidneys to dispose of waste.
Recipe anti-flu soup.
What do you need.
- 2 liters chicken broth
- 4 chicken thighs
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 2 bags of soup vegetables
- 1 tablespoon of fresh thyme, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar
- 2 cm fresh ginger, finely chopped
- half tablespoon turmeric
- vermicelli
- fresh coriander, finely chopped as garnish
- Herbamare van A.Vogel 100% natural seasoning to taste
Preparation.
- Boil the chicken thighs in the chicken broth together with the garlic and onion cloves.
- Remove the chicken thighs from the broth and remove the meat in small pieces of the bone.
- In the meanwhile, add all the remaining ingredients in the broth and bring to a boil again.
- Add the chicken meat and cook for a while.
- Serve the soup with the coriander as garnish per soup bowl.
- For example, eat it with bread and garlic butter.
