Red Lobster Shrimp Alfredo Recipe

With our annual vacation to Florida in prospect, I share a recipe today with you from one of my favorite American restaurants, Red Lobster. This pasta dish is very creamy because of the cream cheese and heavy cream. The recipe below is of course a copycat recipe, but just as tasty. The only thing I’ve added is green asparagus, for some extra vegetables.

Red Lobster Shrimp Alfredo Recipe

Ingredients (4 persons).

  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 1 lb of peeled shrimps
  • 2/3 cup chicken broth
  • 1/3 cup of white wine
  • 1/2 cup of parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup cream cheese
  • 1 cup crème fraiche
  • 1 teaspoon of dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 8 ounces of tagliatelle or linguine
  • fresh basil for garnish
  • optional: asparagus or other green vegetables

How to prepare.

  • Put some olive oil in the pan, press the cloves of garlic and fry the shrimp very briefly.
  • Cook the pasta as indicated on the packaging.
  • Add the chicken broth to the shrimp and bring to boil.
  • Add the wine and keep stirring continuously.
  • Turn the heat down.
  • Add the cream cheese, crème fraiche and the parmesan cheese, stirring until you have the right thickness of the sauce.
  • Stir in the basil and oregano through the sauce.
  • Put the pasta on each plate first and pour the sauce over it.
  • Garnish with fresh basil and some extra parmesan cheese.
  • Optional: if you want to add some more vegetables like asparagus, add them to the shrimps in the first step.
