Emptied August 2015

It‘s time to put an Emptied blogpost online, the month of August has flown by (like every month) and it’s about time for this blogpost because the box where I always storage my emptied products is bulging out and to be honest I really want to throw it in the trash ha!

This time the products that I’ve emptied are quite varied and there are some favorites among them which I always like to use and that are already in my stash again.

Haircare.

I always washed my hair every other day but now I manage it to wash my hair 2x in the week because between the washes I use dry shampoo, the dry shampoos by Andrélon are all very nice, they give your hair volume and smell very fresh, also they last longer than the dry shampoos by Toni & Guy or Batiste. The Summer Blonde version makes your blonde hair look just a little blonder and fresher, further there’s not much difference between the two.

At the moment I‘m a fan of the shampoos by Kérastase, which is really pure indulgence for your hair. I’ve used the Cristalliste Bain Cristal Shampoo specially for fine hair for a while and I like it a lot, but I was curious about the shampoo out of the line Chronologiste because with this line the luxury brand goes a step further, it restores and renewed your scalp and hair. This shampoo cleanses and moisturizes my hair without weighing it down and the smell is heavenly.

Skincare.

This time I’ve emptied a micellar water from the brand Eucerin, this is a facial cleanser, eye cleanser and face tonic in one and is very gentle on your skin making it ideal for sensitive skin and for contact lens wearers like me.

When using a micellar water you need cotton pads and I always use the cotton pads by Demak Up in the oval shape because they are bigger than the round cotton pads and therefore ideal for your entire face, I’ve emtpied 2 packs last month.

I’ve written a blogpost about the luxury French brand Caudalie once, this brand takes all its ingredients from nature and has already won several Awards. About this fine product of the Greek brand Korres I’ve already written a blogpost, The Korres Wild Rose Facial Sleeping is a night cream as the name suggests. There he is again, my trusted Parodontax Whitening toothpaste, it’s just a very good toothpaste and since I use this I’ve much less problems with plaque.

I must admit that I’m always very bad with putting on some sunscreen, obviously I use it on the children (especially the youngest has a very white skin) but I’d have the tendency to skip myself. I’ve a lot of pigment in my skin, quickly become tanned and I almost never get a sunburn, I’ll always make sure that I’ve SPF in my foundation, but I sometimes skip sun protection on my body, stupid of course because it’s just really bad for your skin. For the kids (and now also for myself) I find sunscreen in the form of a dry spray ideal. I always bought it in Florida because there they have many kinds of sunscreen in dry spray form, but now also Garnier has one, it doesn’t stick, is waterproof, smells good and you don’t need to smear! Garnier has this dry spray in factor 20, 30 and 50, contains no alcohol and makes your skin nice and soft.

When it comes to vitamin pills the brand Solgar is one of the better ones. Summer or winter, I use a multi-vitamin every day so I’m sure I’ve all the important vitamins and minerals for the day. That was it from last month. The Kérastase shampoo, Parodontax whitening toothpaste, Andrélon dry shampoo, Demak-up oval cotton pads and the Solgar vitamin pills are my favorite and I’ll continue to use. I also like the face wash by Balance Me that I’ve tesed a lot and I’ll definitely purchase it once my current facial cleanser is empty.
