I’m a big fan of the Tarte Rainforest of the Sea foundation, a lightweight foundation with a natural finish and enough coverage. Tarte is a brand that makes you greedy, beautiful products with even better packages! I was curiously for a while about the Tarte Frxxxtion Stick, an exfoliating cleanser but in a stick. A special product with a triple action; peeling, cleanser and face mask.

Not exactly a package that you would expect with an exfoliating cleanser but it’s certainly one that attracts attention. The packaging is pretty and at first you might think that it’s a make-up product instead of skincare.

The stick is a gel that’s activated as soon as it comes into contact with a wet skin. The stick is black and contains exfoliating seaweed and charcoal. Charcoal is a popular ingredient in beauty products at the moment and that’s not for nothing. Charcoal detoxifies the skin and has a deep cleansing effect, as a kind of magnet it attracts dirt and oils. It removes dead skin cells in a gentle manner without the skin loses its moisture and is therefore suitable for all skin types.

The product is vegan, hypoallergenic and dermatologically tested.

How to use.

You probably think, ok and now what? Its use is actually very easy. You turn the product up and go with the stick over your damp skin with circular motions. When you face is covered you massage the skin with your fingers. Then rinse with water and take care of your skin with a moisturizer.

Use the stick 2 to 3 times per week. If you want to use it as a mask then let it sit for 10 minutes on your skin before you rinse it off.

Conclusion.

Let me tell you right away that this stick will go with me on my holiday. It’s so convenient and compact, ideal for traveling. It’s a mild scrub that’s very easy to use with no mess. The stick texture remains firm and makes your skin clean and smooth. But first I clean my face with a cleanser that I currently use by Boscia (an oil balm that also contains the ingredient charcoal) before I use the stick. In this way the stick is an additional cleanser and exfoliant and my skin is spotless and smooth.
