This time no new product, but a very popular product and certainly a must-have in your skin care routine. In the beauty industry the Pixi Glow Tonic is a hype and I tell you a bit more about this Cult classic.

You use a toner after cleansing your face so that your pH value comes back into balance. A good toner is gentle on your skin, removes soap residue and contains ingredients that soothe and protect the skin. It’s also important that a toner doesn’t contain alcohol, perfume and dyes or other ingredients that can irritate the skin.

The Glow Tonic is alcohol free, contains no parabens and isn’t tested on animals, suitable for all skin types. Besides Glycolic acid the tonic also contains Aloe Vera, Ginseng and other botanical ingredients that nourish your skin and are very mild.

Glycolic acid is a cosmetic ingredient that works very effectively for pigmentation, skin aging and dry skin. It ensures that your skin can retain moisture better and it works protective against the sun and the damage the sun can cause to your skin. It gives a healthy glow because all dead skin cells are removed, impurities are reduced, pores are reduced and even small scars can fade. The Glow Tonic contains 5% Glycolic acid, a percentage that works (Glycolic acid only works in high concentrations >5%).

Conclusion.

I love the 5% Glycolic acid. Glycolic acid exfoliates your skin and provides a smooth and radiant skin. Because the toner ensures that moisture is retained better, I use a moisturizer immediately after the Pixi Glow Tonic toner while my skin is still damp from the toner. As a result, you seal the extra moisture into the skin and all the active ingredients of your moisturizer are better absorbed into the skin. It’s a product that can easily be used as an extra step in your daily skin care routine and you will quickly see results. You apply it on a cotton pad and sweep across your face, neck and décolleté, avoiding your eye contours. Use it twice a day in the morning and in the evening. It gives a light tingling and immediately a fresh skin. I think it’s a nice toner because it’s mild and effective. It exfoliates, soothes and conditions the skin at the same time so that your skin doesn’t dry out.

Pixi Glow Tonic is available at Cultbeauty.co.uk for £ 18.00 (250ml). Also check thee Pixi Rose Tonic (for a calm skin with reduced redness) and the new Pixi Retinol Tonic (with a unique time-release retinol against skin aging).
