Starskin Beauty

Okay that I’m a fan of sheet masks has become pretty obvious by now, one of my favorite brands regarding to sheet masks is still the Dutch brand Starskin and this brand always comes up with fine new masks.

Last month I’ve reviewed the new cleansing foam of Starskin from the new Detoxing Sea Kelp Leaf Collection and told you then that it also includes a sheet mask. The sheet mask and cleansing foam together give you the ultimate detox for your skin and I’ve now also tested the sheet mask.

Starskin constantly expands their range and now the brand has also a mask for your hands and two different masks for your feet, I tested the latest foot mask.

Starskin Detoxing Sea Kelp Leaf.

Starskin Detoxing Sea Kelp

The Detox Collection is the latest collection by Starskin and it uses the most powerful plant from the ocean to detoxify and nourish your skin. First I wash my face in the evening with the Sea Kelp Cleansing Foam and then I close with this Sea Kelp mask that’s infused with 31 botanicals. It seems to be clinically proven that this mask gives hydration to your skin up to 72 hours.

Starskin Detoxing Sea Kelp Face MaskThis is how the mask looks, the color of seaweed and in two parts. The mask is free of chemical preservatives and suitable for all skin types. This mask not only pulls toxins out of your skin but seaweed naturally has a cooling effect so it also will shrink pores. Leave the mask for 15 minutes, then remove the two parts and leave the serum that’s left over on your skin for the night and rinse in the morning.

Ingredients.

  • Kelp contains over 90 different vitamins, minerals and amino acids to revitalize the most tired complexion, repairs connective tissue and helps fight aging.
  • Aloe Vera stimulates the production of collagen and elastin of the skin.

Starskin Magic Hour Exfoliating Foot Mask.

Starskin Magic Hour Exfoliating Foot MaskThis mask is ideal if you’re prone of calluses on your heels and always busy with foot baths, pedicure and pumice. It’s a soft exfoliating mask that removes dead skin cells with lactic acid in a gentle way. This mask is infused with up to 35 botanical ingredients. After using this mask dead skin and calluses gradually start peeling off after a few days and a beautiful smooth skin appears. Don’t use foot cream these days.

STARSKIN-Masker-Magic_HourThis foot mask by Starskin are a type of socks that you put on for about an hour with a maximum of 90 minutes. Use these exfoliating foot care 1x in 1 to 2 months. There’s fortunately a manual that you have to read well how to precisely apply the socks.

  • Lactic Acid exfoliates and removes dead skin cells.
  • Rooibos a relaxing South African herb that is rich in antioxidants.
  • Sage cleanses the skin deep.
  • Soya softens and moisturizes the skin.

Conclusion.

Don’t expect with the Sea Kelp mask a nice scent because this seaweed mask smells really smells like seaweed. Also the material feels a bit stiffer than the bio-cellulose masks by Starskin. The combination of the cleansing foam and mask suits me very well. The nice thing with this kind of masks is that after using there’s enough serum left on your face that you can massage into your skin for the night. Now that’s a simple beauty routine in the evening. In the morning my face has a beautiful glow and a bit of a plump effect.

As for my feet, I’ve no problems with calluses or other trouble. Of course I’ve tested this foot mask, it’s a bit weird to use but it gives a nice feeling of freshness. Because your completely shut the socks it gives a sort of sauna-like effect and after washing your skin feel soft. I wonder if this will be even better the upcoming days, even though I don’t have calluses, I would have undoubtedly some dead skin cells.
