Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water in Oil

Most beauty lovers among us have a bottle of micellar water in the bathroom. I don’t clean my whole face with micellar water but I only use it to remove the last remnants of makeup. Garnier has several micellar waters and the latest version is quite special, it’s a micellar water in oil that’s specially formulated to remove waterproof and long-lasting makeup.

This is the 4th variant of micellar water by Garnier, of the other 3 I tested 2 variants a while ago and one of them I still faithfully use, which is the original Garnier micellar water with the pink cap for sensitive skin. It doesn’t contain alcohol and unfortunately the variant with the green cap for combination skin does.

According to Garnier, the use of cleaning water in oil is the smart way to clean your face, it cleans and soothes your skin in one step. This micellar water contains micelles that remove dirt and makeup as a magnet, cleansing oils and nourishing argan oil should leave no greasy film on your skin. The bottle is, like the other Garnier micellar waters, big with 400ml. Oil continues to float on water so you have to shake the bottle well before use.

Ingredients.

Ingredients Garnier micellair

Unfortunately Benzyl Alcohol is high on the list of ingredients, something I just don’t understand. Fortunately the cleansing and nourishing oils are also high on the list and perfume is last.

Conclusion.

If you like to use waterproof mascara and long-lasting makeup than this micellar water is ideal for you. It cleans perfectly but does leave a slightly greasy film behind, despite the claims of Garnier that it doesn’t. I use this micellar water only for my eyes and don’t find it annoying that it leaves a greasy film. I don’t use it for my entire face because I’ve a combination skin have but I can imagine that this cleansing water feels great on a dry skin. The great thing about this micellar water is that you don’t need to rub and the oil feels soothing to your skin. Where the other micellar waters by Garnier have almost no smell, this one smells great (totally unimportant and perfume does little good for your skin, but still).
