Origins Original Skin Retexturizing Mask.
The main ingredient of the mask is Rose Clay (pink clay). Rose Clay is a combination of clays and an exfoliant for your skin that helps to reduce inflammation, also refines the pores, remove dead skin cells, reduce pigmentation, improves blood circulation and stimulates the growth of new skin cells. The pink color in the clay comes from the many iron oxides that have been incorporated in the clay.
The mask comes in a soft pink tube of 100ml and the mask itself has also a soft pink color.
This picture shows you very well the Jojoba Beads that are contained in the mask, this gently polish your skin and while you rinse the mask off your skin gets a little scrub.
The Ingredients.
The ingredients list is enormous but these are the most important:
- Canadian Willowherb: helps with changes in your skin color and gives a healthy glow to your skin.
- Persian Silk Tree: or called “mimosa”, in the world of skincare known for its ability to protect the skin cells by the production of melatonin.
- Rose Clay: extracted from the Mediterranean to cleanse the skin and refine pores.
- Jojoba Beads: natural wax from a tree native to South America that gently refines the skin surface and polishes.
The brand doesn’t use parabens, dyes, mineral oil and animal ingredients (except animal friendly honey and beeswax).
How to use?
- Use the mask 1 to 2 times a week.
- Clean your face like you’re used to.
- Apply the mask in a thin layer with your fingers or a brush, avoiding the skin around the eyes.
- Leave on for 10 minutes.
- After 10 minutes, wet your fingertips and massage your face with circular motions to exfoliate your skin.
- Rinse the mask off with lukewarm water and apply your favorite moisturizer.
Conclusion.
My combination skin is very happy with this mask, when you’re prone to impurities I think you’ll very much benefit from this mask, especially when you use it faithfully 2x a week. Also when you have dull skin this mask is recommended, it’s suitable for all skin types but when you have dry and/or sensitive skin it’s better to use this mask 1x a week. The mask gives a slight tingling sensation on your skin so you feel that it really does something and it gives a real boost to your skin, refines pores and blemishes and gives a healthy glow to your skin. I like the fact that you give your skin a scrub as a last step when you wash it off, it makes your skin wonderfully smooth and your skin feels spotless.
