I talked about it in my previous blogpost, I finally have found the best foundation ever, or basically the best brand that makes the best foundation. This brand has several foundations that, for me, are the best foundations on the market so far.

I’m talking about the fine brand By Terry, founder Terry de Gunzburg has worked for years with Yves Saint Laurent as a Makeup Designer and she is the inventor of the famous Touche Éclat (need I say more!). The brand By Terry has grown into a popular brand with very fine products, I’m particularly a fan of her foundations Sheer-Expert and Cover-Expert. The foundations are very similar in formula but I’m reviewing the Cover Expert because it has SPF 15 in it and I think nowadays that’s very important in my foundation.

The foundation comes in a dark blue tube with silver letters and has a capacity of 35ml. Usually a foundation has a capacity of 30ml, the Cover Expert isn’t cheap but you only need a little bit each time.

The formula of the By Terry foundations are like no other, the IMC® Technology (Intensive Mimetic Camouflage) in the foundation ensures that the foundation adapts to your skin with optimal coverage but with a natural looking and velvety finish.

The multi-corrective IMC® technologie contains the following:

• Smoothes fine lines and other signs of aging and camouflages tiredness.
• Microcapsules ensure that the foundation mixes naturally with the skin.
• High concentration of pigments and soft focus ensure coverage with a velvet matte finish.
• Hyaluronic acid and other regenerating ingredients fill in wrinkles and fine lines.

The Cover Expert Foundation Cover is available in 10 different shades, I have the shade Vanilla Beige which has a yellow undertone.

Conclusion.

My skin gets very happy by this foundation, it provides a natural finish, takes care and protects my skin from the sun. The texture is great and glides smoothly over your face while applying, where it then melts together with your skin. The finish is pretty matt, but not so matt that it will accentuate lines, it even gives a nice glow. I have combination skin and many foundations slide of my face at the end of the day, this foundation remains really pretty the whole day. Also I’m not going to shine quickly, I powder my face no more than 1x per day. Cover Expert has a medium to high coverage, my skin is pretty smooth and I only apply concealer under my eyes as an extra. The foundation is good to build up when you need some more coverage without getting cakey. Hyaluronic acid provides a lifting effect that this foundation just makes perfect. The foundation isn’t cheap but I think it’s worth the price.
