As you know I like to use the skincare products by Alpha-H, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t like to use products by other good brands. Like the brand Shunly Skincare. Shunri MacQuarrie is the founder of Shunly Skincare, I came in contact with her and was lucky to try some products of her brand.
Now I was immediately excited by her professional website and good looking products. I told her that I mainly use skincare that works anti-aging, so I started to test a few of her products and my enthusiasm was just getting bigger. In my case, that’s a lot to say, because I’m very critical about the action of products for my skin. For skincare, I’m not an easy customer and I always expect a lot of a product. That’s why I’m only loyal to a few brands.
Shunly a bottle full of skincare.
In total I’ve 4 products from Shunly Skincare and I start with my favorite, an exfoliating serum. The Shunly AHA + Rapid Exfoliator is a highly concentrated serum that removes dead skin cells and renews and enhances the skin. It penetrates deep into the skin where it provides the necessary hydration and ensures renewed elasticity. The serum helps to rejuvenate the skin and reduces fine lines and pores. The formula is a very thin, almost watery, oil-free gel that absorbs quickly into the skin. The serum is intended for use in the evening before bedtime and is suitable for all skin types.
Key ingredients:
- Kombucha Extract ensures even skin tone and improved skin texture.
- Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHA) exfoliate the skin and renews the skin cells. Fine lines and pores are less visible.
- Hyaluronic acid is a molecule that acts like a sponge and binds water to give skin moisture all day.
For daytime, under my foundation, I would like to use the Shunly HA + Firming Moisturizer. This moisturizer contains a high concentration of hyaluronic acid so that means a well hydrated skin throughout the day. This makes the skin look calmer and smoother, fine lines are less visible. The formula is soft and absorbs quickly into the skin, an ideal primer.
Key ingredients:
- Jojoba oil is a natural antioxidant that’s full of vitamin E and healthy fatty acids. It also works anti-inflammatory, which makes it positive for skin conditions.
- Apricot Kernel Oil is an oil containing vitamins A, C and E and healthy fatty acids. Ideal for dry skin because it ensures that the moisture in the skin remains in balance.
- Squalane protects skin from harmful external influences, such as UV radiation, smoke and air pollution. In addition, it gives moisture to the skin and makes it soft.
- Hyaluronic acid keeps the moisture in the skin, making the skin fuller and fine lines are less visible.
Care and protection of the tender skin around your eyes is very important. The Shunly L-AA+ Instant Eye Gel reduces fine lines and helps reduce dark circles. The active form of Vitamin C improves the tint under the eyes. In addition, it has a high concentration of hyaluronic acid whereby wrinkles and bags will be less visible. Use 3-4 drops in the morning and evening.

- 5.0% Vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid), Vitamin C only works in high concentrations (at least 4%). It tightens the skin (collagen production) and reduces pigmentation.
- 0.5% Ferulic acid is a very powerful antioxidant that protects the skin against the sun.

I received a small tester from this product, that’s why I’m also showing you the full product. The Zn20+ SPF40 Light Moisturizer offers high protection against UVA / UVB rays with SPF40. The formula is silky smooth and is quickly absorbed into the skin. Suitable for the most sensitive skin. This sun protector isn’t chemical and is so soft that it’s also suitable for children. Apply the moisturizer again after excessive sweating or swimming. Doesn’t leave a white haze on the skin.

- Zinc Oxide 20% is common in sunscreens, it puts a layer over your skin to block UVA / UVB rays.
Conclusion.
The brand Shunly meets all my high expectations of skincare. The Exfoliator and Moisturizer contain hyaluronic acid and that’s very beneficial for my combined skin type, the more water you give the skin, the less oil the skin will produce. The Exfoliator makes my skin calm and even. The Moisturizer softens my skin without too much shine during the daytime.
The Eye Gel gives a fresh look and improves the skin around my eyes, the tint under my eyes is better and the gel feels fresh.
The number 1 protection against skin aging is SPF, and this SPF40 from Shunly is a very nice, non-fat, sun protection for your skin. Gives a very soft skin and can also be used as a moisturizer under your makeup.
