Meder Beauty Science

Recently I was asked if I wanted to try some products from the Swiss brand Meder Beauty. A brand that I did not know yet, but is already known in many countries.

Founder and dermatologist Dr. Tiina Meder started her career in 1995 in cosmetic dermatology and aesthetic medicine. After earning her spurs as a medical advisor and researcher at high-profile large laboratories in Switzerland (Cellap, for Cellcosmed, similar to La Prairie) and with the famous company Thalgo (known for the algae therapies for spas) in France, she decided in 2009 start her own business.

Much has changed since its launch. They grew from 1 professional treatment to a range of different solutions for almost every beauty interest there is. They have now released 24 home skincare products. I was able to test 2 of these, an eye cream and an exfoliating mask, which I would like to tell you more about.

Meder Beauty

Swiss-made hi-end professional skin care that quickly addresses many skin problems. The products are packed with prebiotics and probiotics that are great for sensitive skin and for many other skin problems. Meder Beauty is safe to use because of the smart formula without potentially harmful or aggressive substances such as dyes, perfumes, acids, retinol and retinoids etc.

Enzy-Peel Double-action Exfoliating Mask € 84,50

Meder Beauty Science

This mask regulates sebum production which tightens pores and brightens skin. Shea butter provides moisture, vitamins and nutrients that the skin needs and at the same time stimulates collagen production. Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant that builds the skin’s natural protection against UV rays and other harmful factors. Bacillus Ferment, a natural bacterial enzyme, eliminates dead cells that smooth out the skin’s surface and accelerate cell turnover. All-natural mineral polishing particles provide a very gentle mechanical scrub and effectively polish the skin by removing even stubborn impurities. Mineral particles are not known to cause skin reactions or allergies, while they have the added benefit of being environmentally friendly and safe for the world ocean.

How to use

  • Apply the Enzy-Peel to clean wet skin in a thin layer.
  • Leave it on for 5-10 minutes (5 minutes for sensitive thin skin, 10 minutes for rough, thick and oil-sensitive skin).
  • Massage gently for 3-5 minutes and rinse thoroughly with cold water. Skip this step if your skin is very sensitive. Use 1-2 times a week. Follow with a serum and cream.

Blepharo-Light Eye Cream € 96,50

Meder Beauty Science

Blepharo-Light Eye Cream is a powerful solution for dark circles and bags. The lightweight formula is based on natural lecithin that visibly improves the skin under the eyes. Caffeine narrows blood vessels, helps reduce excess fluid and slows aging. The active ingredient of horse chestnut extract, escin, strengthens capillaries, fights inflammation and immediately reduces swelling. Niacinamide stimulates the skin, normalizes microcirculation, combats age-related changes and reduces pigmentation.

Conclusion

The Enzy-Peel mask is a very fine mask that makes my skin super clean and smooth. Although my skin is cleaner than clean, it is not tight, but it still feels soft and hydrated. I use it twice a week in the evening and then apply a nourishing serum. When your skin is so thoroughly cleansed, the skin care that you use afterwards also works better, it is much better absorbed by the skin because all dead skin cells have been removed.

Blepharo-Light Eye Cream is a very light transparent cream and is suitable for the most sensitive skin. Blepharo means eyelid in Greek and this cream is also available in a heavier version, the Blepharo-Rich Eye Cream. It reduces my puffiness in the morning and gives a bright, hydrated look. Use the Blepharo-Light Eye Cream for daily protection and nutrition and the Blepharo-Rich Eye Cream for anti-stress and anti-age effect.
