Recently I met the sweet Jo Chidley of Beauty Kitchen again, this time she brought her good friend Karine Jackson, a top hairdresser from London. Together they introduce a 100% natural, innovative hair care line with fantastic products that effectively nourish, repair and protect hair. The slightly foaming formula is mild to the hair and the scalp and doesn’t affect the natural fat balance.
The Moisturiser – Conditioner (€13,50 250 ml).
This nourishing conditioner provides moisture for the hair and the scalp after washing, which stimulates hair growth. The formula doesn’t weigh hair.
The Balancer – Pre-Wash Hair Vinegar (€13,50 150 ml).
This deep cleansing and pH-neutral pre-wash for each hair type is based on natural apple cider vinegar containing a combination of good bacteria, fruit acids and acetic acids. The pre-wash restores the pH of the scalp and removes excess sebum, creating the perfect environment for healthy hair growth. The addition of the mineral-rich ponytail extract strengthens the hair fibers and stimulates hair growth. Use once a week before washing on wet hair.
The Finisher – Top Coat Spritz (€ 11,50 150 ml).

The Nourisher – Hair Oil (€ 15,75 30 ml).

The Protector – Priming Treatment (€ 15,75 50 ml).
This pre-styling primer is ideal for anyone who uses a flat iron or hair dryer. Massage the formula into the wet hair after washing and prevent your hair from being damaged by heat. The primer is enriched with sweet almond oil, coconut oil and shea butter.
The Volumiser – Dry Shampoo (€ 13,50 30 gr).
Sprinkle a small amount of the powder at the hair roots and massage for a refreshed coupe with volume!
Conclusion.
I’ve all products except The Protector and The Volumiser. The products all have a natural fragrance because they don’t contain unnecessary perfume.
The product that surprised me the most is The Balancer, based on natural apple cider vinegar. This smells like pure vinegar, that’s a bit of getting used to. Fortunately, you do this in your hair before washing, so that smell disappears again. Many hair products affect your scalp in the long term, with the result that your hair becomes dry. The acidity in apple vinegar can bring the pH value of your scalp back into balance and the antibacterial properties help to fight fungi, dandruff and an itchy / dry scalp. Fine side-effect; it gives shine to your hair!
The Cleanser is a nice shampoo for me because it’s very suitable for colored hair and it doesn’t affect the color. The shampoo doesn’t give much foam, this is of course because no unnecessary and artificial ingredients have been added. Getting used to perhaps, but in the end a foaming effect doesn’t add anything to a properly functioning shampoo.
The Conditioner is lightweight so that your hair doesn’t become limp. A great conditioner for every hair type.
The Nourisher is ideal for dry hair like mine. I rub it in my points, so that they feel soft and moisturized again. You only need a little bit of it at a time, because it’s an oil and your hair will quickly look greasy when you use too much. Two drops is really enough for your entire hair.
The Finisher gives a beautiful shine to your hair and protects against external influences. The product sprays nicely over your hair and keeps it light.
