Best Budget Mascara Catrice The Little Black One

Every now and then I’m a fan of a new budget mascara, this time The Little Black One from CATRICE Cosmetics, and then the waterproof version. That my best budget mascara of the moment is a waterproof variant, is quit special. I don’t like waterproof mascaras because they are often too hard and can’t be built up nicely in several layers. I also find it too much drama to remove the waterproof mascara again. This one is different.

A while back I was at a press event where the latest products and trends were presented of, among others, the cosmetic brand CATRICE, in the goodie bag was this mascara. Fortunately, because I’m very happy with it and I probably wouldn’t have bought it myself (I tend more toward the high end mascaras).

Why then this waterproof mascara? It’s in my eyes not really a waterproof mascara, because it’s easy to remove with my daily cleanser. The problem with most mascaras, high-end or budget doesn’t matter, they give off after a few hours. I don’t have that with this “waterproof” mascara. Yes, it can survive a rain shower, but it’s still easy to remove. Sounds ideal right?

The Catrice The Little Black One mascara has a so-called elastomer brush. A hard brush with short hairs, you can easily separate your eyelashes and you immediately get a lot of volume. An elastomer brush is perfect for people with very short lashes, it even covers the smallest lashes with one layer of mascara.

Conclusion.

For a budget mascara, I think The Little Black One is absolutely fantastic. It gives intense black lashes, is waterproof but the eyelashes remain flexible so that I can do several layers. After two layers you have very long and full eyelashes. The lashes will clump a little if you want to go for a third layer. Not very disturbing to my taste but not recommended if you don’t like spiders eyelashes. You don’t have to use a special waterproof eye make-up remover for removal. At the moment I use it every day, and it’s here to stay.
