Oh all those nice matte liquid lipsticks that are now totally hot and happening makes us so happy. Most cosmetic brands have a line of liquid lipsticks in their assortment and also does the brand Gerard Cosmetics. This brand is in Europe perhaps not as well known but in America it’s quite popular, I know the brand especially by the popular YouTuber Carli Bybel which is quite a fan of Gerard Cosmetics. The brand was founded by Jennifer Gerard and all products are cruelty-free.

Gerard Cosmetics Hydra Matte Liquid Lipstick.

The liquid lipsticks look good and come in a matte shell where you can see the exact color through it, on top a golden cap. In total there are 15 colors that are all incredibly well pigmented. Volume 1,75ml. 

I’ve the color Ecstasy and West Coast. These liquid lipsticks contain a so called anti-flake formula so that the color will evenly fades during the day.

Ecstasy.

The color Ecstasy is an unique purple color with neutral undertones. Normally I’m not a fan of these kind of dark colors on my lips but this purple color is very beautiful and just fine for every day.

Gerard Cosmetics Hydra Matte Liquid Lipstick West Coast.

The West Coast color is a bright coral color that really pops out with a peachy pink undertone. A beautiful color for the upcoming summer.

Conclusion.

The lipstick stays on for hours, doesn’t come off while eating and drinking and during the making of this blog post it took me quite some effort to get the lipsticks of my lips. The colors are really intense, after one layer your lips are fully covered with an intense color, the color is even more intense with a 2nd layer. It’s important that you apply the color on your lips without any mistakes outside the lips cause it wont come off that easily, but the fine sponge applicator works perfect so that probably won’t be a problem.

Normally liquid lipsticks feel somewhat dry on your lips but I feel these aren’t too bad, of course, they don’t feel like a lip gloss but they moisturize your lips a bit more than, say, the liquid lipsticks by Kat Von D. Just always use a moisturizing lip balm before applying liquid lipstick and you’ll be little affected by the dry feeling. The Gerard Cosmetics Liquid Lipsticks apply easy and creamy and then dry quite quickly with a matte finish.
