CHI Argan Oil Shampoo

For the record, I’m a CHI fan, not so much of the known CHI hair straighteners but of the CHI hair care lines. CHI is, along with Biosilk, the professional hairdressing brand of Farouk Systems Inc. located in Houston USA. Good to know; CHI doesn’t test on animals. CHI has now a new care line; CHI Argan Oil. This care line is suitable for dry and damaged hair. CHI Argan Oil line consists of a shampoo, conditioner, hair mask and argan oil. I tested the CHI Argan Oil Shampoo.

Normally I always use the CHI Infra Shampoo from the CHI Infra line, perfect for my colored hair, read my review here. When CHI came with this Argan Oil line I wanted to try this immediately of course. CHI Argan Oil Shampoo is enriched with argan oil and moringa oil, they nourish your hair and ensure smooth hair without fluff.

CHI Argan Oil Shampoo Ingredients:

Unfortunately there is a fair amount of Sodium C14-16 Olefin sulfonate in the shampoo (a kind of soap that cleans your hair too aggressive), check here for more explanation about this ingredient in my review of the CHI Infra Shampoo. Beside that the shampoo is sulfate and paraben free.

I’m probably one of the few, but I find the smell of argan oil not nice in my hair. In the bottle it smells nice but in my hair it is such a sickly smell, but if you like the smell of argan oil, this is definitely a nice shampoo for you. Apart from the smell I find this a nice shampoo, it makes my hair soft and it looks healthy and hydrated. Quite honestly, my CHI Infra Shampoo remains favorite, I find my hair feels softer with the CHI Infra Shampoo (and it smells great). I’ll finish this bottle, and then get back to my trusted CHI Infra Shampoo.
