CHI has become well known for their fine hair straighteners, but this brand has much more to offer.

CHI has a whole range of hair care products from shampoo to leave-in treatments. CHI is, along with Biosilk, the professional hairdressing brand of Farouk Systems Inc. located in Houston USA. Good to know; CHI doesn’t test on animals. CHI has several care lines, including the line CHI Infra, I will show you the shampoo of this line, the CHI Infra Shampoo.Farouk SystemsThe front of the bottle says Sulfate and Paraben free: To get straight, unfortunately there is a fair amount of Sodium C14-16 Olefin sulfonate in the shampoo. Nowadays there are a lot of people who don’t want that in their care products, a pity for an expensive brand. Sodium C14-16 olefin sulfonate is actually a kind of soap that cleans your hair too aggressive, of course you want your hair washed in a mild wayIn some cases it can even lead to a flaky scalp that itches. Sodium C14-16 olefin sulfonate is less aggressive than, for example, the well-known sulfates SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate) and SLES (sodium lauryl ether sulfate). Commercially, Sodium C14-16 olefin sulfonate isn’t among the sulfates. I dye my hair for years, for me it’s really important I take care of my hair very well to keep it healthy.

Ingredients: Aqua/Water/Eau, Sodium C14-16 Olefin Sulfonate, Glycol Distearate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate, Sodium Chloride, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein PG-Propyl Silanetriol , Disodium EDTA, Polyquaternium-10, Phenoxyethanol, Methylisothiazolinone, Hydrolyzed Silk, Citric Acid, Panthenol, PEG-150 Pentaerythrityl Tetrastearate, PEG-6 Caprylic/Capric Glycerides, Parfum/Fragrance , Benzyl Benzoate, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Hydroxyisohexyl 3-Cyclohexene Carboxaldehyde.

Conclusion:                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 Despite the “soap” I find this a nice shampoo. I want to avoid dry and damaged hair and feel that this shampoo cleanses very gently. I must mention that I also use conditioner after every shampoo (hope you are too;)), preferably a leave-in like the CHI Keratin Mist or CHI Silk Infusion so ultimately, how completely honest can you review a shampoo? This shampoo moisturizes your hair and gives it a nice shine. The shampoo contains proteins that strengthen your hair, great if you, like me, aren’t always kind to your hair by coloring it regularly. It also contains pure silk wich restores the moisture balance in your hair. It makes my hair soft and gives it a little volume, it smells delicious by the way. If you don’t mind the amount of soap (Sodium C14-16 olefin sulfonate) this shampoo is certainly no disappointment. The entire CHI Infra line is very nice, especially for colored and damaged hair.

The CHI Infra Shampoo is available at Amazon.com for $13.50 12 fl. oz.

European market available at nicebeauty.com for € 20,70 350ml.

Would you try this shampoo despite the amount of soap? Let me know XO.
