A multifunctional pencil by Max Factor that can be used both as eye shadow and eyeliner, the Max Factor Wild Shadow Pencil. This pencil is available in 8 colors and I tested the color number 05 Caramel Rage.

Max Factor Wild Shadow PencilThe color Caramel Rage is a little in between brown and gray, not really a caramel color as you might expect. The pencil is very soft and beautiful to blendFor a more intense color there are in the same line by Max Factor the Wild Shadow eyeshadow pots that you can easily apply over the pencil.

The color is on my eyelids more gray than brown, the color remains good for a very long time, I didn’t expect that with a creamy eyeshadow. In all colors of the Wild Collection there’s a beautiful shimmer. You can sharpen the pencil with a large sharpener, if you sharpen the tip you can apply the pencil more precise. The pencil is water based so the eyeshadow / eyeliner doesn’t build up in the creases and lines, what you often see happening if it’s oil based.

The Max Factor Wild Collection is available at NiceBeauty.com, the Max Factor Wild Shadow Pencil is € 11,10.

The Max Factor wild shadow pencil is very difficult to sharpen. The wood surrounding the eye shadow/liner is very hard and the shadow itself is very soft and breaks off like butter. I like the concept but it doesn’t work and too much of the shadow is wasted.

Hi Eleanor, you can try to use a sharpener with a larger opening and then carefully sharpen the pencil.

      Good luck XO.
