Green Smoothie With Turmeric

This is possibly the healthiest smoothie ever! This green smoothie is packed with good nutrition and also tastes deliciously fresh, in particular the addition of Turmeric makes this smoothie a true health bombThis yellow wonder herb, which is often used in the Asian cuisinehas a mild bitter taste and a strong healing effect where I wrote a a blogpost about a while ago. How do you make this green smoothie with Turmeric?

Ingredients.

  • 1 tl Turmeric
  • 1 Banana
  • 1 Apple
  • Lemon juice
  • 2 cm Ginger
  • 1/2 Cucumber
  • Handful Spinach
  • Amount of water

Before you start it’s good to know that Turmeric is poorly absorbed by the body, you fix this by mixing one teaspoon of Turmeric with a little olive oil and black pepper. Fat and black pepper increases the absorption of turmeric in the body significantly, in the picture above I’ve already mixes Turmeric with olive oil and black pepper.

Green Smoothie With TurmericI use a blender by Philips, the Philips Avance HR2095/90 Blender, it has a large glass can of 2 L, high power (700W motor) and blend everything without pieces.

Green Smoothie With TurmericIt could be that this smoothie taste slightly too bitter or too spicy for you because of the Turmeric and ginger, just add a spoonful of raw honey or a number of dates for the flavor. You can also add coconut water instead of plain water, this makes it a little milder.

As I said, this should be the healthiest smoothie ever, but why? Below all the benefits of each ingredient in a row;
