Get ready with me: discover the most soothing morning routine.
Nothing better than starting the day at a relaxed pace, with a delicious coffee and new skincare and makeup. Today I give you 4 tips for a soothing, energizing and motivating morning routine that you can try every day. Are you getting ready with me?
Motivation first!
Put on some quiet or stimulating music, make up your bed and put on your sportswear. This way you start the day cheerfully and you can already check off your first task.
If you’re really not a morning person, it’s not easy to start the day motivated. That is why small interventions such as music, a nice outfit or a delicious breakfast can have a motivating effect. So put your smartphone away earlier and get up as soon as your alarm goes off. As long as you can take your mind off things and reward yourself with something fun, you can definitely become a morning person!
Breakfast & exercise
Now that you’ve rolled out of bed, it’s time for a delicious breakfast. You can choose a delicious espresso coffee or an invigorating matcha tea.
You can also easily make overnight oatmeal to save some time, or why not make a tasty smoothie with frozen fruits and oatmeal? Make sure your breakfast is very “accessible” so that you don’t skip it. How? Just like you can order coffee online, you can also have ready-made oatmeal and smoothies delivered to your home. Choose a breakfast that gives you energy and fits into your morning routine.
After your breakfast you can do some stretches on the couch or a mat. During the weekend you can also go for a short jog or integrate some Pilates exercises into your routine. Make sure you practice a sport that motivates you. While dancing and cardio makes one happy, the other likes gentle stretches or a short gym session. That’s totally okay, as long as you let your body wake up.
Wake up your face
Now that your body is fully charged, jump in the shower to wake up completely. Once out of the shower, it’s time for your skincare and makeup routine. This is of course our favorite part! Make sure you don’t shower too hot in the morning, especially in winter as it dries out your skin extra. Even if you wash your face, it is best to choose lukewarm water.
A cream cleaner or facial cleanser for sensitive skin is best in winter. Then you build up your hydration layers by first using a toner, and then a serum and booster. You finish with a moisturizer to protect the hydration. When you apply your serum, you can also do a short facial massage to get the blood flowing in your face.
