The nourishing and moisturizing cream Embryolisse LaitCrème Concentré is a solid product in the stash of almost every make-up artist and is an ideal base for under your makeup. This cream has achieved a cult status in beautyland and is indispensable at photo shoots, fashion shows and film sets. A few years ago you could buy this cream only at pharmacies in France and where it always was purchased in large amounts (because it’s also quite cheap) it’s now for sale almost everywhere. Dermatologists praise the brand because of the natural ingredients that it incorporated in their productsthe assortment of Embryolisse has become quite large and is divided into seven categories; moisturize, cleanse, nourish, anti-aging, sun protection, make-up and perfume. From the category moisturize I discuss two products, of course the bestseller LaitCrème Concentré and the Émulsion Hydra-Mat.

Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré.

Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré

This is the cream where it all started for Embryolisse in 1950 (last February the brand was already 65 years). The philosophy behind Embryolisse is to develop effective products of pharmaceutical quality that respect the natural skin balance for an affordable price. This cream contains vitamins and fatty acids that provide optimum hydration to the skin and restores the natural defense mechanism that protects your skin from harmful influences. LaitCrème Concentré gives your skin a natural glow and a boost if your skin is tired and dry.

The cream has quite a thin structure, it comes in a large tube and is very concentrated (as the name suggests) so you just need a little bit, the cream absorbs quickly and leaves a soft satin layer on the skin. The Lait-Crème Concentré is suitable for all skin types and is multifunctional because besides a day and night cream you can also use this cream as a primer, makeup cleanser, mask, aftershave cream or for the delicate skin of babies.

The ingredients.

AQUA. PARAFFINUM LIQUIDUM. STEARIC ACID. GLYCERYL STEARATE. TRIETHANOLAMINE. CERA ALBA. CETYL PALMITATE. BUTYROSPERMUM PARKII. STEARETH-10. POLYACRYLAMIDE C13-14 ISOPARAFFIN, LAURETH-7. PROPYLENE GLYCOL, HYDROLYZED SOY PROTEIN, ALOE BARBADENSIS. 1,2-HEXANEDIOL, CAPRYLYL GLYCOL. TROPOLONE. PARFUM.

Embryolisse doesn’t test on animals and the LaitCrème Concentré contains no parabens. It has a balanced blend of soothing and natural ingredients such as shea butter, beeswax, aloe vera and soy proteins to minimize the risk of allergic reactions.

Embryolisse Émulsion Hydra-Mat.

This cream is especially suitable for normal and combination skin, moisturizes your skin but also ensures a long lasting matte effectThe ingredients act as a kind of mirco sponge that retain moisture in the skin and absorbs excess sebum so the skin doesn’t shine but feel soft and smooth. A perfect product for under your makeup.

The ingredients.

AQUA. GLYCERIN. PRUNUS ARMENIACA KERNEL OIL. ISONONYL ISONONANOATE. HYDROXYETHYL ACRYLATE, SODIUM ACRYLOYLDIMETHYL, TAURATE COPOLYMER. SQUALANE. BUTYROSPERMUM PARKII OIL. POLYMETHYLMETACRYLATE. CORN STARCH MODIFIED. BIOSACCHARIDE GUM-1. HYDROGENATED POLYISOBUTENE. CARBOMER. TOCOPHERYL ACETATE. ISOPENTYLDIOL.CAPRYLYL GLYCOL, 1,2-HEXANEDIOL. POLYSORBATE 60. ALLANTOIN. HYDROGENATED POLYDECENE. PARFUM. EDTA. HYDROGENATED LECITHIN. GLYCERYL CAPRYLATE. TROPOLONE. POTASSIUM SORBATE. SODIUM HYDROXYDE.

Also this cream contains no parabens and many natural ingredients such as shea butter, apricot oil and vitamin E. Again it’s tested under the supervision of dermatologists to bring the risk of allergic reactions to the minimum.

Conclusion.

With my combination skin I find the LaitCrème Concentré for daytime a little too much because I quickly shine, but as a night cream I find it lovely and it makes my skin calm and softIf you suffer from dry skin with dry spots this cream is ideal for daytime. For a hydration boost I think the cream is also nice to use as a mask, I put a thick layer on my skin and leave it for 10-15 minutes.

The Émulsion Hydra-Mat works for my skin as a moisturizer / primer because it gives a soft skin where the makeup adheres well to, after a while my skin does shine a little bit but that’s fine, I always need to powder my face during the day with my combination skin. An advice for both creams that it’s best if you smear it gently into your skin without applying any pressure.
