Disneyland Paris Christmas Style

The 2nd weekend of November I went to Disneyland Paris with my family. Our youngest is intensely sad everytime we go home. The exciting rollercoasters, falling elevator and meeting his hero Spiderman, is a magical experience for him. Our oldest will not get enough of the Space Mountain, Rock’n Roller Coaster and Indiana Jones roller coasters. Every year we go to Disney twice, in February for 1 to 2 days to Disney World Orlando and in November 3 days to Disneyland Paris. The warmth in Orlando Florida is blissful and makes everything even more fun, but Disney is enchantingly beautiful around Christmas. The parks are transformed into a Christmas atmosphere with breathtaking Christmas decorations and a Christmas parade, you can still enjoy all of this until January 7, 2018.

Disneyland Paris also celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, and of course there are festive surprises. Almost all major attractions have undergone a makeover. Peter Pan’s Flight’s classic attraction looks like a new ride! There’s a magical new show at the Animagique Theater “Mickey and the Magician” and a number of renovations have been completed at several Disney Hotels, which has resulted that Disney’s Newport Bay Club also has a four-star status.

Disneyland Paris Christmas Style.

This year there are 4 new shows in both Disney Park with the icing on the cake Goofy’s Incredible Christmas; an evening show with stunning special effects, lasers and Disney figures that set the Hollywood Tower Hotel on fire with an incredible Christmas story.

Evening show at the castle. Swing along with the super cool melodies with the famous sisters and Olaf who carry you away by the most famous songs from Frozen.

The huge Christmas tree that gives a light show to music. Mickey, Minnie and their friends go along with Santa Claus in the bright sing-along and light up the lights in the giant Christmas tree at Town Square!

The cars are all in Christmas atmosphere and then the reindeer should not be missed.

Disney’s Hotel New York + Tip.

Our favorite Disney Hotel is Hotel New York, a 4-star hotel completely in New York Style. This hotel is practically on the doorstep of Disney Village and it’s only a 10 minute walk to the parks. There’s also a free shuttle service that will take you to the parks if you want.

A tip is to book an Empire State Club hotel room for a bit more money. You book these rooms with extra services. Upon arrival you can check in at a private reception and you can enter your room much earlier (normally only from 3 pm, but we were already there at noon). The room we booked had a Lake Disney view, at this lake there was a gigantic fireworks show on Friday night, and we had the most beautiful view from our hotel room.

In addition to this view, you will also receive 1 Fastpass from the hotel per person per day, which you can use at any time of the day. If you haven’t used this Fastpass you can redeem it on the other days of your stay. An outcome on very busy days such as Saturday and Sunday. In addition to the Fastpass of the hotel, you can also get extra Fastpasses at the park like any other, only these are time-bound.

When you stay in an Empire State Club hotel room, you also have breakfast somewhere else. On the same floor as your room there’s a breakfast ready that’s just a bit more luxurious than downstairs. Between 4 pm and 6 pm you can get unlimited tea and snacks and between 6 pm and 10 pm unlimited soft drinks.

It’s in any case recommended to sleep in a Disney Hotel, hotel guests of Disney have some extra time in the morning before the parks open for the rest of the visitors. This way you can get into the popular attractions without having to wait for a long time. For guests staying at a Disney Hotel, this Extra Magic Time is from 08.30 on both parks. At 10.00 the parks open for the other visitors.

Another tip to avoid long queues, download the Disneyland Paris app, you can see the estimated waiting time per attraction. Ideal now that you no longer have data roaming costs in Europe.
