I’ve been a fan of the products by Paula’s Choice for some time now, founder Paula Begoun, who once struggled with bad skin herself and could never find a product that improved her skin, has ultimately brought a complete care line on the market after years of investigating what skincare ingredients really work and which absolutely add nothing to to your skin or make your skin even worse. According to Paula Begoun she uses only ingredients that are proven to make the skin look younger, more radiant and free of wrinkles and blemishes. Right now her extensive care line is very successful and in the meantime Paula Begoun has also released a number of bestselling books, each of which go deeper into the beauty industry and what to look for when buying a cream or makeup. The past few days I tested Paula’s Choice Skin Recovery Serum, a serum that is effective against a dull complexion, wrinkles and brown spots.

Paula’s Choice Skin Recovery Super Antioxidant Concentrate Serum.

This serum with Retinol (vitamin A) comes in a beautiful tube of 30ml, it’s been clinically proven that it gives no irritation, 100% fragrance and dyes free and isn’t tested on animals.

The serum has a yellowish color, the tube gives a good dosing and can be closed with a screw cap.

Ingredients Paula’s Choice Skin Recovery Serum.

There are many antioxidants in the serum, plant oils and vitamins A, C and E. The serum has a soft silicone base which brings the antioxidants in the upper layers of the skin and improves the stability of the product.

At first the serum seems very greasy.

But the serum absorbs quickly into the skin and leaves absolutely no greasy layer.

Another fine product of Paula’s Choice, I use this product only at night, but this serum also works very well for the day and is a very good basis for under your makeup, like a primer. The serum absorbs very quickly into the skin, you don’t have to worry that your skin will shine because it leaves no greasy layer behind. The serum is intended for a normal to very dry skin, and is formulated so soft that it can also be used succesfully around the eyes. My skin feels soft and well hydrated, my skin looks smoother and calmer in the morning, if this serum has any the effect on my fine lines etc. time will tell.
