A few years ago I’d tried Paula’s Choice products, I think it was after I’d seen a show of Oprah who was very enthusiastic about these products by founder Paula Begoun.Well if Oprah is excited …………… I thought I‘m gonna give it a try. I can remember that I liked the products quite fine (I think I bought an exfoliant and moisturizer) but somehow never bought it again. I’ve go and find the webshop of Paula’s Choice and found out that Paula’s skincare line has expanded enormously. What I wanted was a good exfoliant, moisturizer and a night cream. These three products I found in the collection Paula’s Choice Resist Anti-aging. Exfoliant: Paula’s Choice Resist Daily pore-refining treatment 2% BHA.
This is a kind of toner/cleanser that refines the pores, removes dead skin cells and at the same time restores signs of aging. So that actually sounds like the perfect product. It works very nice and fast, you put some on a cotton pad and bring it over your face, you don’t need to rinse it. You can also apply the product with your fingers, this is a bit trickier because this exfoliant is quite watery. You can us this exfoliant every day.
I find the exfoliant to be the showpiece of the three products I bought. I notice a real difference, my skin is smooth and pores appear refined. This really is an ideal product if you sometimes suffer from some impurities yet also want to address the signs of aging.
What’s exfoliation?
Exfoliate your skin is different than a good scrub, besides that an exfoliant removes dead skin cells it does even more than that; it reduces pigmentation and inflammation (blackheads and pimples) and retains moisture. It’s therefore an important part of your skin care and you will see quickly results.
What’s BHA?
BHA is short for Beta Hydroxy Acid. BHA may also be known as salicylic acid. It’s an acid that ensures that dead skin cells will be removed so that a clean new skin reappears. BHA‘s are soluble in fat, making products with BHA suitable for normal to oily, combination skin because it reach deep into the pores. BHA has mild antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, since it is derived from aspirin (salicylic acid).

Paula’s Choice Resist Cellular Defense Daily Moisturizer.
For a long time I’ve been quite bad in using a daily moisturizer, uuuhh …… I didn’t use it at all. From most day creams my skin just gets shiny and I always used a foundation with SPF in it. Since recently I use a foundation without SPF (Sheer Expert by Terry, very fine foundation, will reviewing it soon), going out the door without SPF is not really an option, that’s why I bought this moisturizer with SPF 25 by Paula’s Choice. This day cream by Paula’s Choice is a fine cream that doesn’t leave my skin shiny but it moisturizes well, is full of powerful antioxidants that protect my skin from harmful external influences. Thanks to the SPF 25 my skin is protected from the sun and it prevents pigmentation (something I suffer from after my first pregnancy). The formula in the cream has been specially developed for a good result in combination with makeup (we like to hear that).
Ingredients of the day cream. Active Ingredients: Titanium Dioxide 8%; Other Ingredients: Active Ingredients: Titanium Dioxide 8%; Other Ingredients: Water, Tribehenin PEG-20 Esters (skin conditioning agent/thickener), Cyclopentasiloxane, Trimethylsiloxysilicate (silicone slip agents), Glycerin (skin-repairing ingredient), Caprylyl Methicone (skin conditioning agent), Stearic Acid, Squalane (emollients), Sodium Hyaluronate (skin-repairing ingredient), Tocopherol, Tocopheryl Acetate (vitamin E/antioxidants), Ubiquinone, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Seed Extract, Oryzanol, Leontopodium Alpinum Flower/Leaf Extract, Buddleja Davidii Extract (antioxidants), Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice (water-binding agent), Diisopropyl Dimer Dilinoleate (emollient), Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer (silicone film-forming agent), Cetyl Alcohol, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate (thickeners), Polyacrylamide (film-forming agent), Polyhydroxystearic Acid (thickener), Isopropyl Titanium Triisostearate/Triethoxycaprylylsilane Crosspolymer (polymer-based texture enhancer), Triethoxycaprylylsilane Crosspolymer (binding agent), Laureth-7 (emulsifier), Thymus Vulgaris Extract (antioxidant), C13-14 Isoparaffin, Alumina (thickeners), Sodium Hydroxide (pH adjuster), Xanthan Gum (thickener), Disodium EDTA (chelating agent), Dehydroacetic Acid, Benzyl Alcohol (preservatives).

I’ve always been a fan of night cream, nothing better than your skin is beautifully made while you sleep. What‘s so good about this night cream is that you can safely use it around your eyes. Because of the unique blend of antioxidants and retinol fine lines and wrinkles are smoother, it reduces damage incurred by the sun and fades brown spots. The cream strengthens the skin by stimulating collagen production, meanwhile protecting the skin from moisture loss. Say no more!
It’s a full rich cream but it doesn’t make my skin greasy, my skin feels nourished and smooth in the morning. Since a couple of years I’ve a pigment spot on my forehead (thanks to pregnancy hormones) and hope this quickly reduces, I’ll use this fine product a little longer anyway.

I haven’t taken a picture of it, due the size of the pot.
