Do you also have a lip gloss or lip balm addiction? I do. All year round you want soft, hydrated lips without any cracks. The skin of your lips is fragile, so you use a lip balm. But did you know that mineral oil (or petroleum jelly) is often added to lip balm?
Shocking but true: if you apply lip balm several times a day, you will swallow an estimated four whole markers per year, according to the European Scientific Committee on Consumer Safety. With “normal” lip balms you consume so-called MOSH (Mineral Oil Saturated Hydrocarbons) and MOAH (Mineral Oil Aromatic Hydrocarbons). The suspicion is that these substances are dangerous when you swallow them and therefore you better avoid them, according to the Consumers’ Association.
Natruline lip balm

Natruline contains no mineral oil. It is not only 100% natural but it really does something for your lips. It contains ingredients that have been proven to retain moisture. They form a natural barrier that makes your lips soft, healthy and intact. There are two versions, Natural and Vegan. The Natural variant contains castor oil, carnauba wax and beeswax. The Vegan version contains castor oil and carnauba wax. Nothing more and nothing less!
Conclusion
I’m totally a fan! Natruline gives delicious greasy lips and I love that. It’s an ideal product to wear alone, but I also like to use the Natruline first and then apply a lipstick. It softens the color and your lips stay nice and soft. The lip balms don’t stick and feel very natural. They go a long way because you need just a little product each time. For me there’s no favorite, I like both variants. But if you want to go 100% vegan in your care, it’s of course great that Beauty Kitchen has developed a variant without beeswax.
