With these 5 Detox Foods you’ll begin 2015 healthy!

Enjoyed your meal and drinks too much during the holidays? And then New Year’s yet to come!! Now you don’t need to go on a ridiculous strict diet, but try to apply the products below occassional in your lifestyle. Must succeed right?

Avocado
 Avocado, contains;

  • Vitamin C (necessary for the overall vitality)
  • Vitamin E  (will at the formation of free radicals)
  • Vitamin A (beneficial to eyesight, skin, gums and hair)
  • Selenium (of great importance in the discharge from the body of toxic metals such as mercury)
  • Zinc (necessary for the build-up of proteins in the body)
  • Omega3 fatty acids (reduce the risk of heart attack)
  • Avocados are also a source of protein and contain good fats that your body needs.

GarlicGarlic, contains;

  • Vitamin B1 (for a proper functioning of the cardiac and nervous system)
  • Vitamin B6 (necessary for a proper functioning of the nervous system)
  • Vitamin C (necessary for the overall vitality)
  • Selenium (of great importance in the discharge from the body of toxic metals such as mercury)
  • Manganese (in order to activate various enzymes)
  • Phosphorus (plays an important role in the metabolism of energy)
  • Copper (has a promoting effect on the natural immune system or immune system of humans)
  • Calcium (important for bone of the skeleton and teeth, also an important effect on nerves and muscles)

At my house they love my homemade vegetable chicken soup, where I put in 2 cloves of garlic. Garlic is also nice to use in your pasta (sauce).

Broccoli
 Broccoli ,contains;

  • 80 Grams broccoli is enough for the RDA (recommended dietary allowance) Vitamin K (prevents diseases such as Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s)
  • Vitamin B1 (for a proper functioning of the cardiac and nervous system)
  • Vitamin B2 (important role in the body in the conversion of nutrients to the substances necessary for the body)
  • Vitamin B3 (required in the conversion of energy in the body)
  • Vitamin B5 (helps build and breakdown of proteins in the body)
  • Vitamin B6 (necessary for a proper functioning of the nervous system)
  • Vitamin B11 (folic acid) (important for the formation of red blood cells, prevents anemia)
  • Vitamin A (beneficial to eyesight, skin, gums and hair)

Not everyone loves this, but you don’t always have to cook broccoliyou can also grill the broccoli or you process the broccoli in a baking dish.


Greek Yoghurt

 Greek Yogurt, contains;

  • Calcium (important for bone of the skeleton and teeth, also an important effect on nerves and muscles)
  • Potassium (is essential for the proper functioning of all cells, tissues and organs)
  • Zinc (necessary for the build-up of proteins in the body)
  • Vitamin B6 (necessary for a proper functioning of the nervous system)
  • Vitamin B12 (of importance for a good resistance)
  • Greek yogurt has twice the protein than regular yogurt
  • Greek yogurt contains less lactose than regular yogurt making it easier to digest

Take breakfast with Greek Yogurt, add granola and some banana or blueberries in.


Blueberries

Blueberries, contain;

  • Flavonoids (acts as an antioxidant, and scavenges free radicals in order to make them harmless)
  • Tannins (its anti-inflammatory)
  • Pectin (has a beneficial effect on digestion)
  • Vitamin B1 (for a proper functioning of the cardiac and nervous system)
  • Vitamin B2 (important role in the body in the conversion of nutrients to the substances necessary for the body)
  • Vitamin B3 (required in the conversion of energy in the body)
  • Vitamin C (necessary for the overall vitality)
  • Beta-carotene (provitamin A) (for good resistance and is very important for vision, but also for healthy bones, teeth and skin.

As I said, delicious in Greek yogurt, in a smoothie or just as a snack.
