Esse Resurrect Serum

Last week, I had an online launch with a number of other beauty bloggers for the latest serum from the world leading probiotic salon brand Esse; the Esse Resurrect Serum. Effective anti-aging treatment for sensitive skin.

The powerful formula has been specially developed for sensitive skin and uses the power of probiotics and biotechnology for an intensely hydrating and anti-aging effect. The result is a calm skin that appears smooth and firm.

Miraculous Resurrection Plant

Esse Resurrect Serum
The serum gets its name from the Myrothamnus flabellifolia plant, or
Resurrection Plant, which grows in the Namib, the oldest desert in the world. The Resurrection Plant lives up to its name for its unique ability to come back to life within hours of being completely dehydrated – even after years without even having a drop of water. The Resurrection Plant contains an extremely high content of polyphenols, which gives the extract a powerful antioxidant effect. Moreover, due to its moisture-attracting effect, it ensures that the skin is immediately intensively hydrated. Wild and sustainable
harvesting the tops of the Resurrection Plant is a community project by Esse in collaboration with the twelve Kunene tribes living in Namibia.

Unique Resurrect formula
The formula was developed by Esse founder and chemist Trevor Steyn and, in addition to the unique Resurrect extract, also contains Bakuchiol and Gamma Aminobutyric Acid (GABA). Bakuchiol is an extract of Indian Babchi seeds and has effects that are comparable to the action of the well-known anti-aging ingredient Retinol, but without the associated sensitivity reactions. It reduces wrinkles, firms the skin, protects the skin from damage and reduces the symptoms of (very) sensitive skin. GABA is an amino acid that contains important nutrients that cause skin cells to renew themselves faster and the skin texture. In addition, it fights inflammatory reactions and soothes irritated skin. The aloe veragel-based formula contains prebiotics and probiotics (1 mio per ml) that improve microbial diversity on the skin and strengthen the skin’s barrier function. A high dose of hyaluronic acid has also been added, which is known to intensively hydrate and plump the skin, so that fine lines diminish. Finally, vitamin B5 (Panthenol) soothes skin irritation and promotes the healing of wounds and damage. The overall result is a calm, supple skin that looks firmer, lifted and feels comfortable!

Resurrect tips & tricks

Esse Resurrect Serum
The Resurrect Serum is preferably used in the evening, on cleansed skin after the toner and before the Esse night care, for an anti-age boost that even the most sensitive skin can tolerate. For an intensive anti-aging treatment, use the Esse Intensity Serum in the morning or the Esse Ageless Serum for the Esse day care and the Esse Resurrect Serum in the evening. You can also use the serum to reduce inflammation and redness in sensitive skin. Also, acne-affected skin recovers faster by using it serum. In combination with Esse Repair Oil and Esse Omega Moisturisers, the serum works effectively against hyperpigmentation. If you have (very) sensitive skin, always use the serum in combination with products from the Esse Sensitive line.

About Esse
Esse is Latin for ‘to be’. The brand was founded by Trevor Steyn in 2002 at the time of the emergence of organic skin care. As a result of new scientific insights thanks to the ‘Human Microbiome Project’, Esse focused from 2010 on professional skin care with probiotics. The company is exploring the use of new probiotics to combat skin aging and maintain optimal skin health. Esse is an ethical cosmetics brand that uses as many natural and organic ingredients as possible, uses no animal ingredients, produces sustainably and has a number of residential communities in Southern Africa supports.

Conclusion

Esse Resurrect SerumEsse is a brand that I really enjoy using. I am especially a fan of the cleansers and the Probiotic Serum. The new serum Esse Resurrect Serum is also a winner. A few drops at a time should be enough, but I notice that my skin needs more. The serum absorbs very quickly into my skin, if I want to lubricate my face and neck well, I need a little more product.

For a while now I have occasionally suffered from hormonal pimples, this serum (actually all Esse Probiotic products) has a very calming effect and removes redness from my face.
