Just about every popular beauty blogger has once placed a picture on Instagram of the brand Farsali. The brand has released 2 different elixirs, a daytime moisturizer and a nighttime moisturizer. In addition, there’s a skin enhancing serum that also serves as a primer. Today I review the daytime moisturizer, the Rose Gold Elixir.

Farsali Rose Gold Elixir.

The brand was founded about 2 years ago by Sal Ali, he is the man of Beauty Guru and DIY Queen Farah Dhukai. So is the name originated, a combination of both names Farah and Sal Ali. 

The elixir comes in a 30ml white bottle with a dropper so you can dose it very accurately and it works hygienically.

The pure 24k Gold Flakes are absorbed directly into the skin and give a natural glow.

The base of this elixir is Rosehip oil, an anti-aging ingredient with high levels of vitamin A and C, providing elastic skin and it reduces fine lines and hyperpigmentation. It also contains 77% fatty acids (linoleic acid and linolenic acid). These fatty acids give the skin cell renewal a huge boost, which is why it has a positive effect on scars.

How to use.

Use the elixir as a day or night care or add it to your makeup routine. On Youtube and Instagram there are countless videos of makeup artists and beauty bloggers who use this elixir on their beauty blender or brush. This way they mix the elixir with a foundation or concealer for a natural and dewy result.

Because of the hydrating effect, the Elixir can be used in many ways:

• Hydrate the lips before applying lipstick or a liquid lipstick. Wait until the elixir is completely absorbed before applying lipstick. It will not affect the finish of the lipstick.
• Mix 1-3 drops with your foundation and concealer, it gives a very natural and dewy result. This works the most beautiful with a fully covered and matte foundation.
• It prevents dehydration of products. Add 1-3 drops to your concealer and highlighter so they stay perfect for longer.

I use the Elixir in two ways, as a night care and in the morning I mix my concealer with a few drops of Farsali. That gives such a nice result! I don’t mix it with my foundation because I think that’s too much glow with my combination skin during the day, but under my eyes in combination with a concealer it’s amazing.

I use a good coverage concealer that I find too intense without the elixir, the Tarte Maracuja Creaseless Concealer. The combination of the Farsali Rose Gold Elixir and the Tarte Concealer is a tip when you’re looking for the perfect way to get rid of the bags and dark circles under you eyes.

When your skin is on the dry side, adding this elixir to your foundation is definitely recommended. According to Farsali it’s more beautiful to use a fully covered foundation.

I also love this elixir as a night care. It’s a dry oil that’s absorbed into the skin very quickly. The next morning my skin is calm, pretty smooth and has a healthy glow. Also nice, the Elixir has a fresh citrus flavor.
