At the end of last year I was pampered with a skin analysis, anti-aging treatment and a lot of nice beauty products in a goodie bag that I could try at home. All this under one roof at Apotheek & Beauty: Where Health Meets Beauty.
Sweet Mariska of Marvelousz.com organized a Bloggers Event at the end of last year in collaboration with Apotheek & Beauty in Monster. Unfortunately I couldn’t be there, but Mariska and Joost Roth (owner of Apotheek & Beauty) were so nice to let me come on another day, so that I could undergo a wonderful treatment with Medik8 products and learn all the ins and outs about the unique concept of Apotheek & Beauty.
Apotheek & Beauty + Medik8
I say “unique concept” because Apotheek & Beauty isn’t an ordinary pharmacy. As the name suggests, health and beauty come together here. You can pick up your medicine and buy your favorite skin care, but you can also have wonderful skin treatments. Joost has a number of skin therapists who give your skin a boost in one of the three treatment rooms. It’s also possible to undergo a botox or a filler treatment, this is done by cosmetic doctor Robert Schoemacher.
OBSERV 520 skin analysis:
Before we started the treatment I first got a skin analysis. A good skin analysis forms the basis for the success of the treatment. Believe me, such a skin analysis is pretty confronting. Fortunately, I was told that my skin looked good for my age and that they could see that I’m taking good care of it. Proves again that all that lubrication every day isn’t for nothing.
With the OBSERV 520 it’s possible to view and record the facial skin under the influence of different skin analysis modes. Many skin conditions start in deeper layers of the skin and only become visible in the course of time. The OBSERV 520 also analyzes deeper layers of the skin and visualises these disorders in great detail. With the help of the Observ 520 one can visualize the skin damage that isn’t yet visible from the outside. This allows them to tackle skin damage at the base.
Medik8
After the skin analysis I get a treatment with products from the brand Medik8. I had never heard of the brand, but the brand has skincare lines tailored to solve specific skin problems. Medik8 is exclusively advised and sold by professionals such as dermatologists, skin therapists, beauticians and certified Spa & Wellness companies.
For a beautiful skin Medik8 keeps it simple, Vitamin C in the morning, followed by Sunscreen – Sun protection and Vitamin A in the evening. Start at the age of 30 and you can look like a 40-year-old at 50 years of age.
Medik8 only uses ingredients that guarantee maximum effectiveness and minimal irritation. The researchers at Medik8 have found the right active concentrations, because a much used antioxidant becomes weaker instead of more powerful in high concentration. For the best effect of the different ingredients it’s important that they can work in the right place in the skin. Many active ingredients lose their strength after opening the package. About Retinol

Medik8 Retinol Eye TR
The Retinol Eye TR is an advanced vitamin A night serum with a high stable retinol concentrate. Retinol Eye is a super product for around your eyes. It stimulates collagen production and prevents the appearance of wrinkles and crow’s feet.

The 3TR should always be applied to the face, neck or décolleté in the evening.
