That I’m a big fan of the popular American brand GlamGlow shall be clear by now, the mask Youthmud where it all began for the brand is really fantastic and I use it therefore faithful (I’m almost ready for a new jar). There are 5 different GlamGlow masks on the market plus an eye mask, the newest mask Flashmud Brightnening Treatment will be worldwide on the market soon. Besides a clean skin with fine pores I like my skin hydrated as well so I tried the Thirstymud Hydrating Treatment Mask.

The hydrating mask by GlamGlow comes in a bright blue packaging. GlamGlow has recently launched some facial cleansers which match the masks and also this mask has a facial cleanser. The Thirstymud mask is meant to hydrate the skin but restores and soothes the skin as well so that there will emerge a soft radiant skin.

Thirstymud is so soft that you can definitely use it 3 times a week on your face, neck and décolleté. The mask can be used in several ways;

During the day; apply an even layer to a clean skin and then let it sit for 10-20 minutes, then wipe your face with a tissue, massage the remaining product into your skin or rinse with water.
In the evening; apply in an even layer as a night cream on a clean skin and let it absorb all night, wash your face in the morning like you used to.
On a flight; apply an even layer at the beginning of the flight and let it absorb during the flight. This is perfect of course as your skin isn’t going to be any better on a flight if you don’t take care of it.

I love the hysterical large packaging, the jar itself isn’t that big and has a content of 50 grams.

Unlike the other masks by GlamGlow the substance of the Thirstymud isn’t really as “mud”, but rather soft and creamy of texture. The mask has a pleasant sweet smell that reminds you a bit of coconut.

The ingredients.

There are a lot of ingredients in the mask but these are the main 4 ;

Dewdration™; a mixture of the active substances Hyaluronic acid and Citric acid, which provide a deep hydration and also retains the moisture in the skin.
Hydrapack™; a mixture of active ingredients such as Botanimoist, Moisturizing sugars, Acids from apples and Oat beta-glucans to soothe the skin, Hydra Clay retains moisture in the skin.
GreenEnergy™; a mixture of Raw Honey and Ginger that gives shine to the skin and detoxifies the skin, Coconut provides instant conditioning to the skin.
Teaoxi Olive Leaf; these olive leaves are full of antioxidants for a beautiful skin and deliver the natural moisturizing ingredient Linoleic acid to the skin.

Result.

The mask looks like a fat yellow thick cream. I let it sit for 20 minutes for sure, because the mask isn’t getting hard and feels soft on your face you can just go on with what you were doing (uhh indoors a mean haha). After 20 minutes my skin is soft and smooth and has a healthy glow, as if I drink 3 liters of water every day faithfully (which I really should do).
