Recently I wrote an article about the Metallic Lips trend. The NYX Cosmic Metals Lip Cream was also included, I like to use these ones myself and therefore I write a separate review on them.
NYX Cosmic Metals Lip Cream.
The NYX Cosmic Metals Lip Creams were already available in 12 colors, but are now also available in 6 new nude shades, from champagne gold and rosé to deep brown. These Lip Creams are very creamy and all have a beautiful metallic finish. You can use them alone or over your lipstick for extra shine.
Top is the color Retro Harmony, a nude color with a golden shimmer. Bottom is the color Speed of Light, a rosé / gold color with a golden shimmer, this one I’m wearing on the picture.
To wear alone, I love the color Speed of Light (which woman doesn’t like rosé / gold. The Retro Harmony I like to use over another color lipstick, to wear alone this color is too light to me.
Conclusion.
The finish of this lip cream is something I didn’t yet have in my stash and is quite unique to me. These metallic lip creams give a full coverage and stay well on your lips throughout the day. They feel like a lip gloss on your lips and the formula is very creamy and thick.
What I find so special is that they stay on your lips for so long, I didn’t expect that. They aren’t liquid lipsticks that dry up so they do give off a bit, for example, on your coffee mug. But when you want to remove the lip cream it’s still difficult. It will stick to your lips, so the result stays very beautiful while the formula doesn’t feel sticky.
I think the metallic finish is very beautiful. They give your lips a sexy shine and your lips look optically fuller. Because the Lip Creams stay in place so well, they don’t run out, so it’s not necessary to use a lipliner first.
In addition to the nude shades, the NYX Lip Creams are also available in some more bold colors. Nice for a party or a night out.
The NYX Cosmic Metals Lip Cream are available at Douglas.nl for € 8,35. The color Speed of Light looks pretty orange on the Douglas website, but it’s really rosé / gold, if you have doubts about it.
