Since Kylie Jenner told on Snapchat that she uses the Mario Badescu Drying Lotion to get rid of impurities, quickly this lotion became a bestseller all over the world. Now you probably immediately think it will be an expensive product, but nothing is less true. Is it just a hype or does it really works? Ms. Jenner is of course often sponsored to mention products on social media, but the brand Mario Badescu is known for its effective working products and has won many prizes in beauty, so it’s worth trying.

Mario Badescu Drying Lotion.

The “magic stuff” against impurities comes in a small bottle with a capacity of 29ml. My bottle is made of plastic but the drying lotion is also available in a glass bottle with the same content, just depends on where you buy it. The lotion is suitable for all skin types.

Ingredients.

Isopropyl Alcohol, Aqua (Water, Eau), Calamine, Camphor, Sulfur, Zinc Oxide, Titanium Dioxide, Talc, Glycerin and Salicylic Acid.

• Calamine is what makes the drying lotion pink, it’s a powder consisting of zinc carbonate and iron oxide, soothes and cools the skin.
• Camphor has a strong odor, works anti-inflammatory and has a cooling effect on the skin.
• Sulfur ensures that the pimple dries out.
• Salicylic Acid is an exfoliating ingredient that has the ability to actually penetrate clogged pores and making it very effectively reduce pimples and blackheads.

How to use.

Don’t shake the bottle before use! Go with a cotton swab into the bottle to the pink bottom layer and dab your pimple with it. Do this before you go to bed and let it sit all night, in the morning you rinse. Use the drying lotion always last after your night cream / moisturizer and really just only on the pimple.

Conclusion.

Once you open the jar you immediately smell the chemical scent and I don’t mean that negative. Alone the smell indicates that this lotion will tackle impurities. Pimples, so tempting to touch them but oh so bad (guilty), this lotion is the solution. It’s great, the next morning the pimple is much less and the next day it’s simply disappeared without leaving a red or damaged skin. The bottle is small but goes a long way because you only dap the pimple.
