Rohto Redness Relief Eye Drops

Eye drops for bright eyes, it’s a trick that’s often used in photo shoots by visagists. Personally, I always have a small bottle of Visine with me, purchased in America, which unfortunately is not for sale in the Netherlands. I wear contact lenses and my eyes can sometimes be red or irritated, one drop in each eye work miracles. The brand Rohto has different types of eye drops for itchy eyes, dry eyes and red eyes. From the series Rohto Redness Relief Eye Drops I tested the Rotho Cool and am wondering if it works as well as the Visine eye drops.

Rohto Cool Redness Relief Once you open the bottle it’s advisable to use the drops within 2-3 months. If unopened, the product is guaranteed until the expiration date located on the bottom on the box.

It is a small bottle of 13ml (0.4 fl oz.)

What does it do?

Cool Rohto Eye Drops ensures that your eyes are hydrated and makes your whites whiter. The drops narrow the blood vessels in your eyes so your eyes are bright and white.

Sounds scary? I’ll just explain a bit more about it, there is a reason why these types of eye drops are not for sale in the Netherlands (don’t know if it’s forbidden in the rest of europe). In America they are very careful, but with medicinal they are easier, they put the responsibility quicker at the user. Therefore, there is not much wrong with this kind of eye drops to use if you use it as prescribed (1 or 2 druppels per eye, up to 4 times a day). Just don’t use it every day but occasionally. Rohto eye drops are carefully tested by eye specialists, but of course this goes along with US law. In the Netherlands this kind of eye drops are not for sale as a precaution, it’s not intended that you will use this drops to an eye infection or other eye condition, for this you need to go to the doctor.

Tip if you wear contact lenses; first remove your lenses from your eyes before you drip, then wait 10 to 15 minutes before putting your lenses back in.

Once you put it in your eye it feels very fresh, some getting used to, Visine doesn’t have that, at least not the Visine Original I always use, but also Visine has different types of eye drops for sale. The Rohto Cool eye drops make my whites whiter for sure and my eyes feel hydrated for a long time. I think it’s a great product and it’s not inferior to the Visine eye drops. These drops are useful for when you’re tired but you need to get going a little longer, for a photoshoot / casting,i f you wear contact lenses (annoying that you need to remove them first) and if you’re snotty or are suffering from hay fever.

I’ve tried to show you the difference between before and after in a picture, but the difference is minimal (I didn’t suffer from irritated or red eyes today). If you suffer from redness you’ll see the difference really good.
