This time no new mascara, but one that has been upgraded. Mascara Volume Effect Faux Cils from Yves Saint Laurent contains a new texture. Also this upgrade has been around for years, but the mascara is just worth reviewing. The new formula has extra caring properties for even more beautiful eyelashes. Biomimetic oils provide soft and intense lashes, Pro-Vitamin B5 gives elasticity and flexibility to the eyelashes. The lashes get a dramatic false effect with a lot of volume.

The mascara is available in no less than 6 different colors + a waterproof version. I have the color Noir Haute Densité, a deep black color that is more intense black than the normal black variant.
The brush combines various nylon fibers for a lot of volume and curl.
Conclusion.
A lightweight mascara that you don’t feel on your eyelashes, as if you have nothing on. The non-waterproof formula is easy to remove. As with most mascaras, whether they are budget or expensive, this one also smudges after a while (now it has also been 37 degrees outside, that doesn’t work too). The brush gives enough product and after 1 swipe you have a lot of volume and length. I like this kind of brushes with short hair that pick up a lot of product, the brush is just the right size. Advantage is of course also the nourishing effect of this mascara, which also smells delicious. Your eyelashes stay supple, so the mascara is good to build with multiple layers without lumps (I use standard 3 layers of mascara). I don’t like it when a mascara dries hard, which is often the case with waterproof mascara. Not cheap, but as far as I’m concerned the money is worth it. When this tube is finished I will definitely buy this mascara in the same intense black color.
