The YSL All Hours Foundation I had already put on my Must-Have Beauty Products at the beginning of this year for 2018. Because I have been an ambassador for YSL Beauty in collaboration with Glamour.nl in the recent months, I was allowed to test this foundation.
The YSL All Hours Foundation in short: a long-lasting foundation with a high coverage without a mask effect. Doesn’t transfer, provides a matte finish, is waterproof, contains SPF 20 and has a caring formula.
YSL Encre De Peau All Hours Foundation.
The foundation comes in a frosted glass pump bottle and is chic. The content is 25ml. This is the color B30 Almond, it has a yellow undertone, for me that works better than a pink undertone. When your skin has a warm undertone it is always better to take a foundation with a yellow undertone. Available in 22 different shades (at Lookfantastic available in 16 shades).
The foundation is enriched with a skin care complex and SPF 20. It protects your skin against harmful external influences, which keeps your skin looking fresh and smooth. Suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin. Dermatologically tested – Non-comedogenic (doesn’t clog the pores).
Conclusion.
The finish of this foundation is matte, something that is always preferred for me. A glow is beautiful, but with my combination skin that glow comes naturally after a while. The foundation remains beautiful for a long time and gives a high coverage, but after a few hours I have to powder again to stay matt. 24H matte is therefore not the case. The nice thing about this foundation is that it fades away a lot of unevenness, but remains natural.
You only need a small amount of product to get your whole face nicely smooth. The foundation feels very light, as if you have nothing on your skin. I still use a concealer under my eyes, but I do that with every foundation. Because the foundation has such a high coverage, you could also apply a second layer under your eyes instead of a concealer. The foundation is in fact nice to build up, without accumulating in fine lines.
Because the foundation dries matte, it is an ideal foundation for combination to oily skin. Do you have a drier skin then it is advisable to use a moisturizing primer first.
This luxurious foundation isn’t cheap, but you only need a little bit for a big effect. Available at Lookfantastic.com for € 40,45 (25ml).
