With a limited number of rooms, it feels exclusive and intimate, therefore exactly what I look for when choosing a boutique luxury hotel in Italy.

Located in the charming village of Castelrotto (Kastelruth), the hotel is perfectly positioned for both relaxation and exploration. For example you’re within walking distance of cafés, boutiques and alpine culture. And yet constantly surrounded by the breathtaking peaks of the Dolomites.
Whether you’re visiting for hiking, skiing, or simply soaking in the scenery, this location offers one of the most beautiful settings in South Tyrol.
Our Junior Suite with a View of the Dolomites
We stayed in a Junior Suite with panoramic Dolomites views, and it was absolutely stunning. Spacious, light-filled and elegantly designed, the suite felt like a private alpine sanctuary. The balcony quickly became my favourite spot. Morning coffee with misty mountain views, and evenings watching the sun set behind the peaks.
The bed was incredibly comfortable, the furnishings luxurious yet understated, and every detail felt considered. Waking up to the Dolomites outside your window is an experience that never gets old.
Fine Dining with a South Tyrolean Touch

Each dish full of flavour and perfectly paired with excellent regional wines.

Exploring Alpe di Siusi: Effortless Access to the Dolomites’ Most Iconic Plateau
One of the great advantages of staying at Hotel Villa Kastelruth in Castelrotto is the effortless access to Alpe di Siusi (Seiser Alm). This is Europe’s largest high-altitude alpine plateau and one of the most beautiful ski and hiking areas in the Dolomites. From winter skiing and snowshoeing to summer hiking and panoramic walks, Alpe di Siusi offers year-round alpine experiences at the highest level.
Instead of skiing, we went walking through the stunning alpine landscape. There are many well-marked and easy walking trails that lead across open meadows and through peaceful mountain scenery. The routes offer beautiful views of the Dolomite peaks and are perfect if you enjoy nature, fresh air and relaxed outdoor experiences.
What made it even more seamless was the hotel’s service: we were picked up directly at the hotel by a taxi shuttle. Taking us comfortably up to the mountain area without any hassle. It’s these thoughtful details that elevate the entire experience. Allowing you to fully enjoy the breathtaking landscapes, perfectly groomed slopes and wide-open views, while leaving all logistics in expert hands.
