The full name of the latest foundation from Rimmel is, Fresher Skin Breathable Natural Finish Foundation. This lightweight foundation with SPF 15 promise a natural-looking skin that continues to breathe.

Rimmel Fresher Skin Foundation.

This foundation attracted my attention because of the promise to provide a fresh and matte skin throughout the day. Something that sounds like music to the ears when you have a combination skin that shines quickly on the t-zone. Because of the natural mineral powders in the foundation your skin stays matte all day. In addition to the mineral powder this foundation also contains Aloe, Chamomile & Sea-algae extract that soothe the skin and reduce redness. And don’t forget SPF 15, for me a must in a foundation.

The foundation comes in a glass jar so you can see the right shade right away and has a capacity of 25ml. I’ve the color shade Natural Beige but this shade is a little too dark for me in the winter. It’s also the darkest shade available. In total there are six shades.

The foundation texture is semi-liquid. It’s thicker than a foundation that comes in a pump bottle, but it’s not a mousse. You only need a little bit for a smooth complexion and it’s perfect to build up if you need more coverage. This is true with any foundation; better two thin layers because it looks more natural than one thick layer.

Conclusion.

I use this foundation in combination with my stippling brush and it works perfectly. Just because this foundation comes in a jar you don’t mess because you dip the brush or beauty blender in the foundation. This color (Natural Beige) is just a little too dark for me, but I think the foundation is beautiful and gives a natural cover. You don’t need much product. The foundation doesn’t clog your pores ore settles in the fine lines. My combination skin stays matte all day and that’s great. Because of it’s lightweight you don’t feel the foundation on your skin and it gives a natural look. I’m not a fan of face powder and because this foundation dries quickly on your skin, powder is unnecessary.
