How does it work?
STARSKIN® PRO Platinum Peel Mask Pack is a professional 2-step peeling treatment. The treatment starts with a special peeling cotton swab soaked in 10% leave-on mandelic acid, followed by a powerful foil sheet mask enriched with a nourishing kale leaf serum. The foil mask creates a sauna effect. It gently warms the skin and prevents active ingredients from evaporating. This stimulates the peeling process and at the same time the absorption of the clarifying serum with Meteobrite®.
- Clean the face and pat dry. Break the tube open along the dotted line.
- Carefully bring the cotton swab to your face and neck. Avoid the area around the eyes. Do not rinse.
- Carefully unfold the mask. Apply the lower half first and then the upper half. Wear for 10 minutes.
- Discard after use.
- Gently massage the remaining serum into the skin and allow it to absorb overnight for the best results.
- Mandelic Acid provides superficial dermal peeling by dissolving the gluey structure that binds skin cells to break down dead cells and accelerate cell renewal and deliver spectacular results.
- Strengthens collagen production to reduce fine lines and wrinkles.
- Relieves discoloration and signs of hyper pigmentation.
- Helps regulate sebum production, making it an excellent choice to reduce and prevent pimples.
The mask can be used once a week. The skin can temporarily turn red due to the active ingredients. Do not use on acne-prone / damaged skin or open wounds. A local skin test is recommended for extremely (allergic) sensitive skin.
Please note: this product contains an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that makes your skin more sensitive to UV radiation and increases the risk of sunburn. Therefore, always use the mask in combination with a sunscreen and limit sun exposure from the moment you use the mask to one week afterwards.
Conclusion.
I liked the mask, just like all STARSKIN masks. You get a nice glow and the remaining product in the bag is ideal as further night care. The only drawback with this mask I found was that it doesn’t stay on your skin very well. You actually have to lie down for 10 minutes, something that you don’t have to do with a bio-cellulose mask because it will stay on like a second skin.
