Last year I already mentioned the Rubber Lover Masks by Dr. Jart, sheet masks that feel slightly different than the normal sheet masks, more jelly. Dr. Jart now goes a step further with the Shake & Shot collection. An innovative cream-to-sheet formula that penetrates deep into the skin, even deeper than a sheet mask, to deliver powerful ingredients.
In total there are 4 different shakers; Shake & Shot Rubber Soothing Mask, Shake & Shot Rubber Hydro Mask, Shake & Shot Rubber Firming Mask and the Shake & Shot Rubber Brightening Mask. I tested the Hydro and Firming masks. The cup (cocktail shaker) contains 2 different bags that you have to mix / shake in the cup.
Dr. Jart Rubber Face Masks.
Rubber Hydro Mask. Hydrates and revitalizes the complexion. The Hydro Mask contains a cocktail of vitamin B5 (panthenol) and Expert Moist Complex, rich in amino acids, to help strengthen the moisture barrier of the skin.
Rubber Firming Mask. Improves the elasticity and firmness of the skin. The ampoule Firming Mask contains vitamin A (retinol) and OxyForce ™ Cellular Active to stimulate the synthesis of collagen and improve the elasticity and firmness of sagging skin.
Conclusion.
The packaging alone is too nice, the rubber baby faces and the shaker with spatula, it makes it all fun to start using. The shaker is easy to use, bag 1 and 2 are mixed together in the shaker and with the spatula you apply it to your face. After 15 to 20 minutes it has become a thick rubber mask that you can peel off your skin, any excess product you remove with a damp cloth. The Hydro mask gave an intense hydration boost and a healthy glow, the Firming mask doesn’t make your skin firmer but does make it full and hydrated. The masks are especially nice to use before you leave the house and your skin can use a lift, because they instantly give a glowy and healthy look.
The masks feel cool on the skin and with the full content you apply a thick layer. Please note; Apply the mask to the skin within 3 minutes after you have mixed the 2 bags together. If you wait longer than the mask has become too rubbery to apply. The mask is very soft for your skin when you peel it off, some even manage to remove the mask in one piece.
